Kenan Jr. Professor and Chair of the Dept. of Biological Sciences at Columbia University, scientific adviser for the Whitney Lab and 2008 Nobel laureate in chemistry will present GFP. Lighting Up Life. Reception for Dr. Chalfie before the lecture at 3:00 p.m. in the HPNP Reception Hall. All are welcome.

St. Anastasia Community Association meeting in Lohman Auditorium 7:00 p.m. George Sedberry, Superintendent of Gray's Reef National Sanctuary, will talk about the National Marine Sanctuaries Program, particularly Gray's Reef is in the Atlantic Ocean, 20 miles east of Sapelo Island, Georgia. SACA is supporting a proposal to either create a new sanctuary off our shore or to extend the existing sanctuary from Georgia to our area. Public welcome.
