Gamble Rogers Series features guitarist Richard Smith@ Whitney July 27th, 7 pm
A very rare opportunity for world-class music is coming up. On July 25th, one of the most renowned masters of all genres of guitarmanship will be performing at the Lohman Auditorium of the Whitney Lab as part of the annual Gamble Rogers Festival sponsored concert series. Playing with Richard Smith will be Julie Adams on cello. I have attached a pdf critique of this duo’s musicianship. The reading is very impressive indeed. But here are a few accolades from musical names you might know.
“If you like my playing, you should hear Richard Smith! The World Champion!”. (Tommy Emmanuel)
“Guitar playing at its finest. Don’t miss this one”. (Doyle Dykes)
“He is one of the world’s greatest guitarists”. (Muriel Anderson)
And on and on…enough said.
