State
Matching Gift Programs
The
State of Florida offers a significant
incentive for gifts to its state universities
- it will match your gift with additional
state dollars. These programs epitomize
the best of public-private partnerships.
For
example, under provisions of Florida's
Major Gifts Trust Fund, your endowment
gift of $100,000 for education, research
or library or art acquisitions, fellowshops,
etc. is eligible for a match from
the state of 50 percent - another
$50,000 in this case.
And,
the match rate escalates as your gift
level increases. A $2 million endowment
receives a 100 percent or $2 million
