Mike Greenberg is working with José Núñez to replace the Laboratory’s old species list with a thorough biological inventory that will include most of the plants, animals, and microorganisms that are distributed among the various habitats in the Matanzas River Basin. Within the inventory, which will be published online, each organism will be identified on the basis of its anatomy and selected genetic features, and doubtful identifications will be submitted to experts for certification.
