Jimmy received a B.A. in Biology from Wesleyan University in 1996 where he worked in Dr. David Bodznick's laboratory. From 1999-2004 he completed his Ph.D. in Biology investigating how fish swim in turbulent flows at Harvard University in Dr. George Lauder’s Laboratory. He then worked as a postdoctoral research assistant in Dr. Joe Fetcho’s laboratory at Cornell University on the neural circuits of behavior in zebrafish. Jimmy started as an Assistant Professor at the Whitney Lab for Marine Biosciences in August 2009.
