Outreach Community Event Requests

Special Traveling Zoo Event Request

The Traveling Zoo community option is offered on a limited basis.  This program is offered to organizations that have an educational component as part of their mission or operations and is not available as an entertainment option for birthday parties and the like.  We appreciate your understanding in limiting the use of our organisms outside of educational endeavors.

Cost: Special Traveling ZOO Event price is $250.00 for a 2-hour program

Program Detail: Whitney Lab Docents will bring a variety of invertebrate marine animals and introduce your participants to marine biology by educating on how these local animals survive as a species in our environment. Event participants are encouraged to ask questions as they engage in this tactile experience.

Travel Range: The Traveling Zoo van can participate in Events that are located within 1 hour drive from the Whitney Laboratory, 9505 Ocean shore Blvd., St. Augustine, FL. 32080

Note that filling out this request form does not guarantee that we can attend your event. A Whitney Lab Education Representative must contact you to confirm and schedule the event, and then a formal email confirmation and invoice for the ‘Special Zoo’ program will be sent.


Community Event Request

Throughout the year The Whitney Lab participates in local community events by hosting informational booths where we can engage the public with current Scientific Research, the Sea Turtle Hospital, and our K-12 through College Education Programs.

If you would like to request the lab to attend your community event please fill out the request form below.
