Please welcome Yu Jin Sim to the Whitney Laboratory! Yu Jin joined the Ibarra-Castro Lab as a visiting research scholar.
Yu Jin is a feed nutritionist, and is interested in feed nutrition, physiology, and histology in marine fish. Yu Jin has studied the development of low-fish meal diets for major Korean marine fish species, including olive flounder, rockfish, and red sea bream. She is currently conducting research on the physiological and metabolic costs associated with the utilization of plant protein-based diets, as well as the mitigating effects of dietary additives in juvenile marine fish.
In her free time, Yu Jin enjoys eating delicious food, watching TV shows, traveling, and spending time with her family and pets.
