The Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience
Please welcome María Laura Tejeda Miramontes, a visiting scholar, to the Whitney Laboratory. While at Whitney, Maria Laura will be joining the Ibarra-Castro lab to continue her master's training under the direction of Dr. Leonardo Ibarra-Castro.
María Laura Tejeda Miramontes completed her bachelor's degree in genomic biotechnology at the Autonomous University of Sinaloa, Mexico. She is currently studying for a master's degree in Natural Resources and Environment at the National Polytechnic Institute (Mexico). She loves to dance and also really enjoys sharing her culture with others.
