Loesgen Lab welcomes Ines Michrafy

Please welcome Ines Michrafy to the Whitney Laboratory! Ines recently joined the Loesgen Lab as a Visiting Research Scholar.

Ines will study Patagonian fungi and their bioactive natural products at the Whitney Lab for the next four months. She is part of the University of Florida, Department of Chemistry’s REU exchange program with several universities in France.

She received her bachelor’s degree in physics and chemistry at Toulouse University in France with an interest in molecular synthesis for the pharmaceutical field and greener processes. She is currently working toward a master’s degree in molecular and supramolecular chemistry at Strasbourg University in France. Outside of the lab, she enjoys doing sports (horse riding, climbing, handball, skateboard, go to the gym) and discovering new sports, playing and listening to music (piano, guitar) as well as hanging out with her friends to discover new cafes.
