Registration Open for 2024 Summer Camps

Registration is now open for the 2024 Whitney Laboratory Science Summer Day Camps and Sea Turtle Summer Camp!

Science Summer Day Camps

Entering 6th, 7th or 8th grade in fall 2024

All About Plankton

Tuesday, July 9, 2024 - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Campers will learn about and identify different types of plankton, make their own plankton collection devices, and view their plankton under a microscope. Campers will also design their own plankton to “race” in this fun day camp!

Cost: $65 per day

Dive into DNA

Thursday, July 11, 2024 - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Campers will learn about DNA and investigate specific DNA sequences that code for inherited traits. Campers will build their own DNA models, and will extract DNA from a strawberry in this fun day camp!

Cost: $65 per day

Sea Turtle Summer Camp

Students entering 4th or 5th grade fall 2024 will learn about sea turtle biology and conservation and have the opportunity to interact with sea turtles.

Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Cost: $275.00

Max 12 campers. Camp fee includes Sea Turtle Hospital tour, instruction, presentations, field & lab activities, and a Whitney Lab Sea Turtle Hospital T-shirt.
