Rajah had been in the Sea Turtle Hospital's care since March 16, 2023 and was part of the hospital's sponsorship program. Rajah’s release was a private release that welcomed 15 of her sponsors to the beach. Rajah was escorted by one the hospital's volunteers, Avery, who has been volunteering in the Sea Turtle Hospital's husbandry department for two years.
