Sea Turtle Hospital patient Yzma received her swimming papers and was released on August 31 by Sea Turtle Hospital Veterinarian Dr. Brooke. Yzma had been cared for by Sea Turtle Hospital staff since April 2023.

Yzma originally stranded in Volusia County, he/she was found entangled in a crab trap with severe entanglement wounds and moderate Fibropapilloma (FP) tumors. After 5 months at the hospital, Yzma was deemed heathy and ready for release. Since Yzma was originally from Volusia County, he/she had to return to that area for release. Good luck Yzma!
