Please welcome Madeline McDonald to Whitney’s K-12 Education and Volunteer/Docent programs! Madeline has joined the Whitney Laboratory as the Education Program Coordinator.
Madeline grew up in Georgia where she earned a B.S. in Ecology from the University of Georgia. After graduation she worked seasonally for the Walt Disney Company, UGA Marine Extension, and The Conservancy of Southwest Florida. Most recently she worked in New York as an estuary educator and citizen science coordinator for The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. There she worked with volunteers on the Hudson River Eel Project and the Amphibian Migrations and Road Crossings Project.
Outside of work, she likes to camp, bike, paddle, and collect shells for her seashell collection.
