Your investment in the Whitney Laboratory is an investment in the students and faculty who live, learn and work here today, and in future scientists whose scientific curiosity was sparked here.
The countless scientific discoveries, medical breakthroughs and advances in basic biological science inspired by the experience of the Whitney Laboratory touch our friends and neighbors everywhere. The experimental biologists of tomorrow will be shaped by the impact of your gift. As we build on understanding of ocean health and conservation, your support is key.
A new endowment has been launched to support the conservation of sea turtles by sustaining operations at the Sea Turtle Hospital at Whitney Laboratory.
This is a general fund that provides for the day to day operations of the Laboratory.
Its funds have been used to support travel for students, bringing lecturers for the Evenings at Whitney Lecture Series, minor acquisitions and fund raising activities and events.
This is the most flexible of the funds and, consequently, is very important to the overall activities of the Laboratory.
