K-12 School Programs

The goal of the Whitney Lab’s K-12 Education Programs is to inspire local students with hands-on, marine science curriculum supporting STEM education in the surrounding communities.

Using the Whitney Laboratory’s resources and expertise, students are introduced to scientific concepts, tools, and ideas designed to encourage critical thinking and environmental stewardship. Providing these opportunities for students creates a lifelong love of science!

Support K-12 School Programs

An important part of the Whitney Laboratory mission is to inspire future scientists. Private donations are essential to provide hands-on education that reaches thousands of students each year from several Northeast Florida counties and supports other educational program needs.

Through a generous gift we established a K-12 Education Endowment to help sustain Whitney’s virtual and local educational programming. Currently a dollar for dollar match available!
