Please welcome Geresa-Leigh Luke to the Whitney Laboratory! Geresa-Leigh joined the Ibarra Castro Lab as an aquaculture technician.
Geresa-Leigh completed her Master's at SUNY Stonybrook University where her research involved analyzing thermal impacts on juvenile Winter Flounder in the Northeastern US. During her Bachelor's at SUNY Maritime College, she contributed to research aimed at understanding the increase in hurricane frequency across the Caribbean by collecting and analyzing Ostracod valve assemblages.
In her free time, Geresa-Leigh loves spending time at the beach, reading comic books, movie marathons, cooking/trying new foods, reading science fiction, and spending time with her family.
