Dr. Todd Osborne has a diverse research program focusing on biogeochemical processes in soil and water in a variety of ecosystems throughout Florida. Currently, he is highly engaged in ecosystem restoration of shellfish and seagrasses in the Indian River Lagoon and soil phosphorus pollution in central Florida. His research initiatives include carbon dynamics in mangrove and saltmarsh ecosystems, phosphorus remediation, and climate change induced changes to ecosystem processes (landscape scale biogeochemical processes).
Dr. Osborne has University of Florida Gainesville campus affiliations in the School of Natural Resources and Environment - IFAS, Soil and Water Sciences - IFAS and College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Water Institute and Florida Sea Grant.
