Sea Turtle Hospital patient Adrift returned to their ocean home on February 3 surrounded by a few of Adrift’s sponsor families, hospital staff, and dedicated volunteers. They were released at River to Sea Preserve (Marineland Beach), directly across the street from the Whitney Laboratory.
The Sea Turtle Hospital extends heartfelt gratitude to all of Adrift’s sponsors for their generosity and support in making the release day possible for their tiny but mighty patient. A special shout-out went to Sea Turtle Hospital volunteer Vic! After tallying last year’s hours, the Sea Turtle Hospital was thrilled to recognize Vic for donating an incredible 216 hours, making him the top husbandry volunteer for 2024. Vic had the honor of releasing Adrift—a well-earned moment for his dedication. Thank you to everyone who played a part in Adrift’s journey!
