Traveling Marine Zoo
Program Information
Whitney trained docents bring a collection of marine invertebrates to local schools for a hands-on science learning experience. Students are introduced to marine biology by exploring how the animals breathe, find and eat food, protect themselves and generally survive in their environment.

The Traveling Marine Zoo can visit schools within a 45 minute drive from the Whitney Laboratory.

Registration for the 2024/2025 school year is now open. To register for the Traveling Marine Zoo, please fill out the request form.
Upon receiving this form education staff will review your request and respond back in a timely manner. Please note that your class is not scheduled until you receive an email confirmation from education staff.
