Emilia Cayelli joins the Whitney Laboratory as a summer intern in the Martindale Lab. Emilia Cayelli is from Herndon, Virginia, right outside Washington, DC. She is an undergraduate student going into her fourth year at the University of Miami, studying Marine Science and Microbiology. In high school, Emilia was the Townsend Scholar working in Dr. Martindale's lab, and now, four years later, she is back with Team Cassiopea as a summer intern. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding and is training for a triathlon.
Mia Mitchell joins the Whitney Laboratory as a summer intern in the Osborne Lab. Mia Mitchell was born and raised here in St. Augustine, Florida. Mia is an undergraduate student at Nova Southeastern University studying marine biology. Mia is excited to intern at the Whitney Lab for Dr. Osborne this summer. In Mia’s free time, she enjoys being outside in nature and painting.
