Daniel Groso joins the Ryan Lab

Please welcome Daniel Groso to the Whitney Laboratory! Daniel joined Dr. Joseph Ryan's laboratory as an undergraduate researcher in May of 2020.


Daniel is a third-year undergraduate in Gainesville at the University of Florida. He is pursuing a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Bioinformatics. He has prior research experience at the UF Emerging Pathogens Institute, where he worked on understanding how the bacterial pathogen Chlamydia trachomatis obtains essential nutrients from infected host cells. At the Whitney Lab, Daniel is characterizing key developmental gene families in the genome of the comb jelly, Beroe ovata under the mentorship of Dr. Joseph Ryan.
