The Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience
Students entering 5th, 6th or 7th grade in fall 2021 will experience the fun of science learning and discovery with plankton! Campers will build their own plankton net, collect plankton from the estuary, and learn to view and identify them under a binocular microscope. Campers will also collect various organisms off the boat dock that are considered plankton in their larval stage. Campers will finish the day camp with a better understanding of plankton and the estuary ecosystem, and more inspiration to stay engaged in science!
