Judge Joe Boatwright Named to Whitney Laboratory Board of Trustees

Whitney Laboratory is pleased to announce that Judge Joe Boatwright has joined its Board of Trustees.

Judge Joe Boatwright is a state court trial judge in the Seventh Judicial Circuit in Florida, and has previously been assigned as an associate judge on Florida’s 4th and 5th District Court of Appeals. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and his JD degree from the Catholic University, Columbus School of Law, in Washington DC graduating Summa Cum Laude. In addition, he received an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law and an LL.M. in Judicial Studies from Duke Law School. He was the editor in chief of the Judicature Law Journal at Duke Law School and a member of the Catholic University Law Review. In addition to being in the legal profession for almost 20 years, Judge Boatwright has taught law related courses at both the university and law school level for over 15 years. Judge Boatwright is actively involved in his community by serving as a board member for the Arc of Putnam County, Project Lighthouse, Putnam County Habitat for Humanity, Putnam County Police Athletic League, and ARC Youth Ministries. He is member of the Rotary Club of Palatka, Scribes Legal Society, St Augustine Inn of Court, and the Federalist Society.

The Whitney Laboratory Board of Trustees provides advice and assistance to the Lab in the areas of fund raising, advocacy and marketing helping to further the Lab’s mission of scientific research, education & training.
