Mark McGowan Named to Whitney Laboratory Board of Trustees

Whitney Laboratory is pleased to announce that Mark McGowan has joined its Board of Trustees. Mark brings an abundance of professional experience to the Board of Trustees.

Mark is Senior Counsel for Florida Blue, a Florida health insurance company in Jacksonville. He received his B.S. in Finance from the University of Florida and his Juris Doctor form the University of Florida, College of Law.

Mark has served on the Board of Directors for the Florida Blue Foundation and also on the boards of other state and community organizations including Leadership Jacksonville and its Alumni Board and Selection Committee, Youth Leadership Jacksonville, Lee & Mimi Adams Environmental Advisory Board, Jacksonville International Visitors Board, Atlantic Beach Community Development Board, Atlantic Beach Recycling and Solid Waste Board, Greenpeace Sea Turtle Protection, Habitat for Humanity, Theater Jacksonville, and the Florida Health Insurance Advisory Board.

Mark is a forth generation Floridian who grew up on the St. John’s River in Jacksonville and continues to enjoy fishing, diving, boating and all forms of water activities. He and his wife and 3 children live in Atlantic Beach.
