Cnidofest 2018: The Cnidarian Model Systems Meeting is scheduled for Sept. 6-9, 2018, at Whitney Laboratory. Registration is now open until Aug. 1. Abstracts are due July 15.
Dr. Christine Schnitzler, assistant professor at Whitney Laboratory, is one of the two co-organizers of the event along with Dr. Celina Juliano, assistant professor at the University of California, Davis.
The keynote speaker is Dr. Virginia Weis, professor and chair of the Department of Integrative Biology at Oregon State University. She is also a member of the Whitney Laboratory Board of Scientific Advisers. Her talk title is "Symbiotic Sea Anemones as Model Systems for the Study of Corals: Easier, Faster, Softer."
