Please welcome Dr. Adolfo Lara to Whitney Laboratory! He recently joined the Ryan Lab as a postdoctoral research associate and will be focused on the evolutionary genomics of doliolids.
Dr. Adolfo Lara is a Texas native but has lived in both Mexico and the United States. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Houston-Downtown majoring in biology. Next, Adolfo proceeded to earn his Ph.D. from the Richard Gilder Graduate School at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, focusing on the evolutionary genomics of early cnidarian nervous systems. He is a first-generation scientist and a massive baseball fan.
