Please welcome Dr. Cezar Borba to the Whitney Laboratory! He recently joined the Strother Lab as a Postdoctoral Research Associate.
Cezar "Cez" (says) Borba is a neurobiologist with a focus on neural circuits & behavior. He received his B.S. in neurobiology at UC Irvine and his Ph.D. in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology at UC Santa Barbara. During his Ph.D., he studied the circuit mechanisms of sensory processing, mostly visual, using the marine invertebrate chordate, Ciona. Cez's current research interest is studying the function and architecture of neural circuits in ctenophores.
