Two Million Red Drum Larvae Released into the Indian River Lagoon

Fish release - round two! Two million red drum larvae went into the Indian River Lagoon this week with the help of Blair Wiggins Outdoors, Jamie Glasner, Star Brite Solutions, Fishbites, Retrax, Whitney Laboratory Osborne Lab members Dr. Todd Osborne, Sabrina Schofield and Norman Kolsch. Thank you to all! These larvae were spawned from Whitney’s adult red drum broodstock in the Ibarra Castro lab. 

Whitney Laboratory is planning another red drum larvae release in the Matanzas River.
