Welcome Amy Biedenbach to Whitney Laboratory

We are pleased to announce that Amy Biedenbach has joined Whitney Laboratory as our new Education Program Coordinator. Amy grew up in Pennsylvania where she earned a B.S. in Biology from Westminster College. It was then that she became SCUBA certified and fell in love with the underwater world. Her career path began with marine mammal research and conservation education, where she continued for approximately 12 years. In 2013, she earned her M.S. in Coastal Zone Management from Nova Southeastern University, where she focused primarily on environmental policy. In 2014, she began began working with DEP and the Florida Park Service and spent 5 years based at Washington Oaks Gardens State Park, working closely with many volunteers, government agencies, and other various stakeholders. In her spare time she is either at a yoga class, cycling, working in the yard, or running around to different kid activities.
