Welcome: Dr. Camille Enjolras

Please welcome Dr. Camille Enjolras to Whitney Laboratory!

Camille is a geneticist and developmental biologist whose main research interest is to better understand animal biology. After characterizing a gene involved in ciliogenesis in Drosophila melanogaster, she participated in the study of limb and antennae regeneration in the amphipod Parhyale hawaiensis.

She received her BSc and MSc from Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University in France. It was also in the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 that she received her PhD in Genetics under the supervision of Pr. Bénédicte Durand. She then worked as a lab manager in Dr. Michalis Averof lab for 5 years. Camille now joins the Martindale Lab as a technician. She will be helping for the daily lab organization and performing functional genomic experiments involving microinjection and confocal microscopy with a variety of marine invertebrates.
