The Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience
Please welcome Research Assistant Scientist Dr. Leonardo Ibarra-Castro to Whitney Laboratory! Dr. Ibarra-Castro comes to us from Mazatlán, Mexico: A Research Center for Food and Economic Development (CIAD). Dr. Ibarra will be working toward developing Whitney's Marine Hatchery Program.
Dr. Ibarra-Castro has experience in breeding and reproduction of marine fish and was the creator and manager of the commercial scale laboratory for the breeding of marine fish at CIAD, Mazatlán. Dr. Ibarra-Castro has 50+ technical reports and scientific articles in international magazines and journals such as Aquaculture Nutrition Journal, Latin-American Journal of Aquatic Research, Aquaculture Research Magazine, North American Journal of Aquaculture, Aquaculture Economics and Management, Journal of the World Aquaculture Society, Aquaculture Magazine, The Israeli Journal of Aquaculture, Journal Thermal Biology, and more.
