Whitney Welcomes Ellie Padgett

Please welcome Ellie Padgett to Whitney Laboratory! She recently joined the advancement team as the Development Coordinator.

As a native Floridian, Ellie received her Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Marine Science from the University of Florida in 2018. She has been a Gator her entire life, with her parents meeting in the marching band and her sister finishing her Ph.D. next year. From a young age, Ellie had a fascination with ocean life, and after college spent four years working as a dolphin trainer in Arizona, the Florida Keys, and across the street at Marineland. She is thrilled to be transitioning into a role that supports her passion for marine biology while also working for her alma mater.

In her free time, Ellie loves to adventure with her dog, Winnie, and spend time out on the water on her paddleboard. You can also find her hunting for shark teeth at Guana or enjoying a good romance novel.
