The Whitney Graduate Student Association is committed to the betterment of graduate student life and professional development at the Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience.
The event will also feature two documentaries in the Lohman Auditorium - a 15 minute documentary "The Oldest City Underwater" on the sea level rise in the nation's oldest city, St. Augustine, FL shown in partnership with the St. Augustine Film Society, and documentary "Emerald Sanctuary" investigating the central role of seagrasses in the ecology and culture of Florida, as well as its vulnerability to unsustainable practices and rising populations. Additional short videos will showcase Whitney Laboratory graduate students and their path to science.
