Congratulations to Whitney Lab’s Assistant Professor of Biology Christine Schnitzler for co-authoring a paper in Cell Reports titled An Evolutionarily Conserved SoxB-Hdac2 Crosstalk Regulates Neurogenesis in a Cnidarian. The paper shares that for the first time a functional link has been demonstrated between SoxB transcription factors and histone deacetylases, which are each involved in neurogenesis, nervous tissue growth and development.
