Current Lab members

Aquaculture research and training, particularly in hatchery and larval production systems, in the Ibarra-Castro Lab is highly rewarding but also demanding, as it involves the care of live animals and time-sensitive biological processes.

Lab member schedules are often dictated by the needs of the organisms and will often include night and weekend hours. Students, scientific visitors and in this lab are expected to show commitment, flexibility, and a strong sense of responsibility toward animal care and experimental continuity.
